DJ Mirage was born in Arizona and moved to Saudi Arabia at the age of six. He comes from a very musical family. There were always musical instruments around. He had his first producing experience in middle school, when his brother, who is a lyricist, invited him to help produce and rap on an album he was working on. The album was recorded on an analog four-track on tape. The beats were made up of samples from several different songs. It was more like remixing, than producing new material but the sound was good.

When DJ Mirage came back to the US for college, he became good friends with a fellow Arab named Sami. He played guitar in several different bands and knew a lot about the digital recording process. DJ Mirage learned a lot from Sami. On DJ Mirage's twentieth birthday, Sami bought him a guitar and tried to teach him how to play.

At this point, DJ Mirage loved hip hop and, since he couldn't afford any DJ equipment, made mixes on his computer. He always took pride in having a huge music collection. At the same time, he was part of a group called the Side Effects. He was the producer and rapped on a few tracks.

Eventually, he was able to afford some equipment. This allowed him to spin at several parties and local bars.

As DJ Mirage got older, he started traveling to larger cities where he developed a love for the club scene. He enjoyed dance clubs and House music. So much that he started collecting and mixing House music for fun. As luck would have it, he was asked to spin at the Sportsman, and has been spinning predominantly house music ever since.
